PROMULTIS, PARKER DESIGN & MCRC

Customer Requirements

We were approached by Parker Design, regarding an engaging and informative digital experience for their client, the Manchester Cancer Research Centre (MCRC). The objective was to create an interactive installation that would not only highlight the Centre's achievements and history but also serve as an educational tool for visitors. The solution needed to be visually appealing, user-friendly, and capable of delivering a wide range of content, including timelines, infographics, and interactive maps.

Promultis Solution

Promultis provided Parker Design with two 55" Contour Kiosks, custom-built to meet the needs of the Manchester Cancer Research Centre. These kiosks were installed at the Centre, offering a sleek and modern interface for users to explore the content designed to celebrate the Centre’s contributions to cancer research. To maximise the impact of the kiosks, Promultis developed bespoke IMMERSE Software tailored to the specific needs of MCRC.
The IMMERSE Software featured several interactive modules:

Timeline of the Centre’s Heritage: This module allowed users to explore key milestones in the history of the Manchester Cancer Research Centre, from its founding to its current status as a leading institution in cancer research.

Infographics on Cancer Research: The Contour Kiosks displayed a series of infographics that presented data in an accessible and visually appealing way. These infographics covered various aspects of cancer research, including recent breakthroughs and ongoing projects

European and Global Collaborations: Another key feature of the IMMERSE Software was a section showcasing MCRC’s collaborations with other research institutions across the UK, Europe and around the globe as part of an interactive map with hotspots showcasing information and content when clicked.

Interactive Facility Map: The software also featured an interactive map of the Centre’s facilities, allowing visitors to explore different departments and laboratories. Users could click on various parts of the map to learn more about the specific work being done in each area.
