CUSTOMER REQUIREMENTS

The Ministry of Defence required interactive displays for the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst to support the AVS Obriy Tactical Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) Training Simulator. The screens needed to connect to laptops running the simulator software and provide a clear, responsive surface while cadets used Xbox controllers for control input.

They also needed the displays to support mission‑planning tools such as interactive Army maps, meaning the screens had to be adjustable for different tasks. They also wanted a simple way to show videos of the software so cadets, staff, and visitors could easily see what the simulator was producing. The MOD planned to take these solutions around the country for training and demonstration purposes.

PROMULTIS SOLUTION

Promultis supplied three 55” VarTilt Pro units, which suited the MOD’s needs perfectly depending on the application. For the Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) simulator, the VarTilt Pros were positioned upright and connected to the laptops running the software, giving cadets a clear and comfortable view while using Xbox controllers. When using planning tools such as interactive Army maps, the VarTilt Pros were adjusted into a flat, table‑style position, allowing cadets and instructors to work collaboratively.

Two 55” Totem Engage displays were also installed to play videos of the software. Their 4K panels and built‑in OPS PC made it easy for staff to manage and display the footage, helping to create a more engaging and informative training environment.

Together, the VarTilt Pro and Totem Engage units provide Sandhurst with a simple, reliable setup that supports both mission planning and simulation training.
